Glamorous Job Career Information.. is there enough?

When you were at school did it seem that everyone wanted you to be a secretary or an accountant or go to Uni and study something normal... What about you your parents? Did you get much encouragement.... Were you told to do something sensible with your life rather than dreaming about doing something really different...

What did you want to be? A TV Presenter? A Fashion Designer? An Actor? A Radio Presenter? A Journalist? A Dancer? A Flight Attendant? A Make up Artist?

Were you told that there was just far too much competition and you were wasting your time?

Do you think that is true?

Would you like to see more information on "out of the ordinary" jobs and more encouragement to pursue them.

Do you think you missed your dream?

I'm a schoolteacher and the general feeling is that most of the so called glamorous jobs are over subscribed, so careers counsellors tend to go down the "safe rout".. My own view however is that "someone" has to get all the glamorous jobs and if you don't try then you will never know.... I would like to say "just go for it" but I can't.
